Baseball Game Preview: Ferris Saxons vs. Central Valley Bears

Ferris hasn't had much luck against Central Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Saxons will square off against the Bears at 4:00 p.m.

Ferris is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Cheney. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Saxons' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, Central Valley faced Mt. Spokane in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since April 30, 2024.

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Central Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
