Softball Recap: Canton Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Canton put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Dearborn. The Cobras didn't even let the Pioneers on the board, marking the Cobras' second-straight 10-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Cobras, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mia Thurman was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

The victory (which was Canton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-12-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dearborn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20-2.

Looking ahead, Canton will take on Riverview at 4:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Dearborn, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-4 victory against Redford Union on the 20th.
