Williams led Colerain to 10-0 regular-season record, will try and help Zips rebound from rough season.

Tyler Williams saw many features he liked about the University of Akron football program. Williams liked the second-year InfoCision Stadium on campus and the first-year coaching staff.
On Monday, Williams verbally committed to the Zips, the Cincinnati Enquirer
reported. Williams, the Greater Miami Conference offensive player of the year this past season, also considered several other Mid-American Conference offers.
Although Akron had a 1-11 record this season, Williams could provide a spark for the Zips and play early in his college career.
"They feel he's the game-changer they need," Colerain coach Tom Bolden told the newspaper.
Williams, who played quarterback for Colerain in the triple-option offense this season, will play running back/wide receiver and be a returner on special teams for the Zips. He is 5-foot-7 and 155 pounds, rushed for 1,654 yards and 20 touchdowns this season as Colerain went 10-0 in the regular season and was a Division I regional semifinalist.
Williams was second-team all-district and threw for 534 yards and 11 touchdowns.
