St. Raphael Academy faced Burrillville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Saints blew past the Broncos, posting a 42-13 victory. Considering the Saints have won three matchups by more than 28 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brendan Cardoso was a one-man wrecking crew as he picked up 129 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those three receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Melvin Howard was in the mix as well, providing St. Raphael Academy with one TD.

St. Raphael Academy pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for Burrillville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Raphael Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on La Salle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
