Hartford gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 55-24 victory over the Brandywine Bobcats at home. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Despite the loss, Brandywine still got an impressive performance from Carter Sobecki, who rushed for 133 yards while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards.
Hartford will challenge Kellogg on Friday. Hartford is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Brandywine, they will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Watervliet on Friday.
