 If Winner was feeling good  off their  15-0 takedown of Chamberlain two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Winner Warriors lost  16-1 to the Beresford Watchdogs on Saturday.
 For Beresford's part,  Kate Degen looked comfortable as she  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and not a single walk).
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Reese Olson, who  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.  Ivy Keiser was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Winner's loss was  their seventh straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Beresford, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
 Winner will be playing at home against Wagner at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Beresford, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  15-1  defeat vs. West Central on the 4th.
