Recap: Lutheran North Lions vs. Lutheran South Academy Pioneers
The Lutheran North Lions lost against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers back in December of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lutheran North suffered a rough 71-51 defeat at the hands of Lutheran South Academy. Lutheran North has struggled against Lutheran South Academy recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Thomas Kuhlow was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds for Lutheran South Academy. Another player making a difference was Brendon Perez, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Lutheran North's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Lutheran South Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran North will challenge Kinkaid at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Kinkaid will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1377th, while Lutheran North is ranked 466th). Lutheran South Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cypress Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th.
