Basketball Recap: Foley Comes Up Short

Foley won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Saraland Spartans, falling 66-30. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 48-40.

Foley moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Saraland, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Foley Lions face off against the Pensacola Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saraland, they will challenge Baldwin County at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
