Canutillo had won four straight road games and Sophia Ontiveros did her part to make it five on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Austin Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory thanks in part to Ontiveros, who had 14 digs, seven aces, and five kills. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 19 games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Canutillo was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-9, 25-12.

Canutillo's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Austin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Canutillo and Austin will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Canutillo will face off against rival Andress at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Austin is set to take on their familiar foe Harmony Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
