Baseball Recap: Coleman Takes a Loss

Coleman managed to slip by Sasakwa the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 13-5 to the Vikings on Tuesday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Coleman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayton Russell, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Silas Walters was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Coleman has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Sasakwa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coleman will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Calera at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Sasakwa, they will face off against Konawa at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
