Basketball Game Preview: West Panthers vs. Alta Hawks

West is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Alta is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. West knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 games -- so hopefully Alta likes a good challenge.

West is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Brighton: they outscored them in every quarter. Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Alta took on Skyline on Thursday. Everything went Alta's way against Skyline as Alta made off with a 56-34 victory.

Alta has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for West, their win bumped their record up to 17-0.

Everything came up roses for West against Alta when the teams last played on January 10th, as the team secured a 74-36 victory. In that matchup, West amassed a halftime lead of 44-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
