Basketball Recap: Section's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Fyffe last Monday, Section came back down to earth. The Section Lions fell to the Fort Payne Wildcats 46-40. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-31 back in November of 2024.

Section's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-4. As for Fort Payne, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Section wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-39 win against Douglas on the 27th. Fort Payne has also already played their next contest, a 55-51 victory against Whitesburg Christian Academy on the 27th.
