Recap: Chilhowee Indians vs. Sheldon Panthers
The Chilhowee Indians suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 60-38 defeat at the hands of Sheldon. Chilhowee's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
Sheldon found their leader in underclassman Aiden Bogart, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. Bogart also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Ellifrits, who scored eight points along with 12 assists and seven rebounds.
Chilhowee dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Sheldon, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Chilhowee will be playing in front of their home fans against Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Sheldon, they will head out on the road to square off against Exeter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
