Football Game Preview: Mira Loma Matadors vs. Valley Vikings + Official Tickets

Mira Loma has gone a perfect 3-0 against Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Mira Loma will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Mira Loma had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 26-point drubbing they dealt Valley Christian last Friday. The Matadors put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 32-6 victory. The Matadors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 26 points or more this season.

Deangelo Keys had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 129 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 77 yards on only nine carries. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Keion Kado also helped with two scores in total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mira Loma was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Valley was fully in charge last Friday, breezing past West Campus 38-6. The game marked the Vikings' most dominant win of the season.

Mira Loma's record now sits at 9-0. As for Valley, their record is now 4-6.

Everything came up roses for Mira Loma against Valley in their previous meeting back in August, as the squad secured a 66-0 victory. Will the Matadors repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
