Football Game Preview: Mineral Wells Rams vs. Eagle Mountain Knights

The Mineral Wells Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Eagle Mountain Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mineral Wells has given up an average of 33.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mineral Wells' offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Graham on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Steers. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Steers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Eagle Mountain had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They didn't even let the Bulls on the board, marking their second-straight 48-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 31 points or more this season.

Mineral Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Eagle Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Mineral Wells was able to grind out a solid win over Eagle Mountain in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 26-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
