Softball Recap: Sanderson Takes a Loss

Sanderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 26-9 to the Enloe Eagles. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Mason Stanley was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Sloane Thorpe was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Sanderson's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Enloe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

While Sanderson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
