Basketball Game Preview: Danville Warriors vs. Evansville Reitz Panthers

Two dominant guards in Emma Ancelet and Bailey Hape are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Danville Warriors and the Evansville Reitz Panthers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Danville is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Danville picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against Wood Memorial by a score of 75-67.

Ancelet was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Addison Davis was another key player, going 7 for 11 on her way to 15 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Evansville Reitz faced off against North Harrison on Friday. Evansville Reitz breezed by North Harrison to the tune of 68-22. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Danville is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Evansville Reitz, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
