Dr. Joaquin Garcia won the last time they faced Suncoast and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Chargers.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Dr. Joaquin Garcia got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 15-11.

Daniela Leite paced Dr. Joaquin Garcia's offense, picking up eight kills. Leite got some help from Sophia Bui and her 13 assists. Sofia Hagerty and Sophia Concepcion kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Suncoast, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-13.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Royal Palm Beach on the 29th. As for Suncoast, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Spanish River on the 27th.
