Soccer Recap: Sunlake Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Sunlake and Land O' Lakes squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Sunlake had to settle for second. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Land O' Lakes Gators who were credited with the victory. The Land O' Lakes Gators got it done in the shootout by posting eight goals to the Sunlake Seahawks' seven. That makes it the first time this season the Seahawks have let down their home crowd.

Sunlake's loss dropped their record down to 9-2-3. As for Land O' Lakes, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.

Sunlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Land O' Lakes, they will square off against Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wiregrass Ranch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.
