Recap: Faith Christian Knights vs. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats
The Faith Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 39-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is ranked 131st).
Rylan Dundon was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics. Dundon hasn't dropped below 17 rebounds for four straight games. Kiara Weaver was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Faith Christian's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Faith Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Holly Hill Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they will take on Palmetto Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Palmetto Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
