Softball Recap: Cane Ridge Starts off Right with Win over Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet

Cane Ridge had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet Royals on Wednesday as the Cane Ridge Ravens made off with an 18-3 win. This was payback for the Ravens, who suffered a 7-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cane Ridge will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Antioch at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet, they will face off against Hume-Fogg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
