Baseball Recap: Delavan-Darien Takes a Loss

If Delavan-Darien was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of East Troy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell 7-2 to the Trojans on Thursday. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

Haaken Hovestol made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run.

Delavan-Darien's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for East Troy, their record is now 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Delavan-Darien is set to challenge their familiar foe Evansville at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Troy will take on rival Edgerton at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
