York is 9-1 against Lake Region since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will square off against the Lakers at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lake Region will take on a team with plenty of momentum: York extended their winning streak to five back in May. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Lakers. The nine-run effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sarah Orso made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Orso was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Maddie Fitzgerald was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Piper Catanese, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

York's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Region, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
