The Classical Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Basalt Longhorns at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both have allowed few points on average, (The Classical Academy: 7.2, Basalt: 10) so any points scored will be well earned.

The Classical Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Berthoud , sneaking past 20-17. The 20-point effort marked the Titans' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jackson Schipfer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 218 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Those 218 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Brown, who threw for 125 yards and a touchdown.

The Classical Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 208 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Basalt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Tarallo, who rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Tarallo also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception. Will Daniel was another key rusher, rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

Basalt didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Tarallo, Dylan Ferreira, and Taylor Hays picked up one apiece. Tarallo's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.

The Classical Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Basalt, their win bumped their record up to an identical 11-0.
