With a playoff win on the line, Avon rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Steele Comets. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lily Hamilton paced Avon's offense, picking up 17 kills. Hamilton really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 27. Caroline Busold and Emily Styers kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Avon's victory bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Steele, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-10.

As of now, neither Avon nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
