St. Paul won the last time they faced Arcadia/Loup City, and Charlee Wegner did her part to make sure it happened again. The St. Paul Wildcats came out on top against the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels by a score of 49-36 on Friday thanks in part to Wegner, who went 10 of 25 on her way to 22 points in addition to five assists and five boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nicole Chilewski, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Chilewski has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Fitzgerald, who put up eight points along with five boards and three steals.
St. Paul's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Arcadia/Loup City, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
St. Paul and Broken Bow will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they will venture away from home to take on Elm Creek at 2:00 p.m. on December 30th.
