The Woodbury Royals will challenge the Stillwater Ponies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodbury is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Woodbury fell victim to Forest Lake and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangers. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Kate Rapp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

Meanwhile, Stillwater entered their tilt with Irondale on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They beat the Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2.

Stillwater's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch. As for Woodbury, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Woodbury suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Stillwater in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
