Northside has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sipsey Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Rams will take on the Bears at 3:00 p.m. Northside is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

On Tuesday, Northside earned a 9-5 win over Brookwood.

Northside let Haley Lyons and Avery Sharbutt run wild. Lyons scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Sharbutt went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Sharbutt has posted since back in April of 2024. Mary Piepho was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sipsey Valley had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Hale County 15-9 on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bears' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Katie Grace Lowery was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ella Kate Lyons, who scored two runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.

Northside's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-11-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Sipsey Valley, their record is now 8-18.

Northside beat Sipsey Valley 6-1 when the teams last played last Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
