Basketball Recap: Field Falcons vs. Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles
Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles 50-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-25 last Wednesday.
Mattea King had a dynamite game for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, dropping a triple-double on 17 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals. King is becoming a predictor of Model Secondary School for the Deaf's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 2-1 (and 8-11 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Marcella Shular, who posted three points in addition to 15 boards and six steals.
Field's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.
