Baseball Recap: Deerfield Comes Up Short

Deerfield blew Luther Prep out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Luther Prep got their revenge. The Demons fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Demons have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Landon Brattlie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Bryce Eickhoff, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

With the defeat, Deerfield broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Luther Prep, their record now sits at 4-7.

Coincidentally, Deerfield and Luther Prep will both be playing Lake Mills the next time they take the field. The Demons will host the L-Cats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Phoenix will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
