Baseball Game Preview: Terra Nova Tigers vs. More Knights

The Terra Nova Tigers will challenge the More Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Terra Nova is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.

If Terra Nova beats More with five runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against Woodside on Thursday, sneaking past 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Brody Finale, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for More, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let North Valley Baptist get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

More got a massive performance out of Andrew Corr, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was Corr's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sean Selway, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

More always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Terra Nova's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for More, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Terra Nova has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like More struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
