Cactus picks up 11th straight win at home

Recap: Cactus Cobras vs. Arcadia Titans

The Cactus Cobras entered their tilt with the Arcadia Titans with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Cactus put the hurt on Arcadia with a sharp 69-47 win on Saturday. Cactus might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Cactus had a senior duo take command as Bradey Henige dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds and Tyler Hutton scored 19 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Henige has scored at least 25% of Cactus' points. Josiah Hyslip was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.

Despite the loss, Arcadia still got an impressive performance from Jamison Fox, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Knee, who scored eight points.

Even though they lost, Arcadia were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cactus only racked up 20 assists.

Cactus' win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Cactus and Moon Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Moon Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Arcadia, they will be playing at home against Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deer Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Arcadia in Arizona (Deer Valley is ranked 22nd, while Arcadia is ranked 135th).
