Softball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty entered their matchup against Fauquier on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell 13-8 to the Falcons. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fauquier, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will challenge Millbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Fauquier, they will square off against Sherando at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
