Volleyball Recap: Flintridge Prep Starts Season with Win Against San Gabriel

Flintridge Prep took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against the San Gabriel Matadors by a score of 3-1. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Matadors, too.

Flintridge Prep was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 12-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Flintridge Prep was led to victory by Ally Perez and Jaycee Sullivan. Perez had 24 digs and two aces, while Sullivan had 14 kills and five digs. That's the most kills Sullivan has posted since back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for San Gabriel and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Flintridge Prep has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Monica on the 15th. As for San Gabriel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Covina on the 15th.
