Softball Recap: Weatherford Eagles vs. Tuttle Tigers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Weatherford had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tuttle Tigers , sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Marley Teasley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Harlie Chism was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Weatherford's victory bumped their record up to 32-2. As for Tuttle, with the loss, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 35-8.
Weatherford has already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Purcell on the 19th. Tuttle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
