Softball Recap: Harlan Has No Trouble Against Lynn Camp

Harlan made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lynn Camp, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Harlan was the clear victor by an 18-6 margin over Lynn Camp on Saturday. The Green Dragons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Ella Lisenbee, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Fields, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Harlan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Harlan's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Lynn Camp, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Looking ahead, Harlan will take on Bell County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lynn Camp, they will venture away from home to challenge DuPont Manual at 10:00 a.m. on April 1.
