Goodpasture Christian strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Moore County Raiders 60-7. Fans of the Cougars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Goodpasture Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Slim Leavell, who picked up 201 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Leavell showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 53 yards. Chase Angell was another key passer, throwing for 292 yards and three TDs while completing 85% of his passes.

Goodpasture Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Moore County to a completion percentage of just 42.1%. The last time the Cougars' completion percentage was this high was was before the start of last season.

Goodpasture Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ian Crockett and Joe Batey. Crockett got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Goodpasture Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Moore County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goodpasture Christian will square off against Davidson Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Moore County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Battle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
