Recap: Prospect Panthers vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates
The Prospect Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 70-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Piedmont Hills. Prospect has not had much luck with Piedmont Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Piedmont Hills was led to victory by Christian Arciaga and Subeg Rai. Arciaga scored 20 points, while Rai dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rai has scored all season. Sherhan Yeo was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Prospect's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9. As for Piedmont Hills, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prospect will face off against Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Piedmont Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against Willow Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
