Football Recap: Hillcrest Hornets vs. Logan-Rogersville Wildcats
Hillcrest extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They had to suffer through a 55-13 loss at the hands of the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Wildcats are ranked 96th).
As for Logan-Rogersville, their record is now 5-1. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.
A big part of Logan-Rogersville's win came down to the chemistry between Sam Frieze and his top target Gage Hale. Frieze threw for 127 yards and four touchdowns while Hale picked up 73 receiving yards and three TDs. The dominant performance also gave Frieze a new career-high in rushing yards (54).
