Volleyball Recap: Hernando Falls Short Against Ranked Lake Cormorant

Hernando faced Lake Cormorant in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to Lake Cormorant. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lake Cormorant earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Hernando's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Lake Cormorant, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

Hernando will challenge Southaven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Cormorant, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against DeSoto Central on the 27th.
