Basketball Recap: Irving Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Irving's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nimitz Vikings, sneaking past 42-40. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Irving's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16. As for Nimitz, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Irving and Nimitz could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Irving (ranked 777th) will meet Berkner (ranked 133rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Irving is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Meanwhile, Nimitz will face off against Lake Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 877 places (924 vs. 47).
