Grace Academy took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over the Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals. That's more bragging rights for Grace Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Grace Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Canyon Maxwell, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. Bryce McIver was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Austin Royals HomeSchool's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Grace Academy is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Founders Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Austin Royals HomeSchool, they will face off against San Juan Diego Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
