Basketball Game Preview: Roseland University Prep Knights vs. Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins

The Roseland University Prep Knights will take on the Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roseland University Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Mare Island Tech Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Roseland University Prep is headed out to face Mare Island Tech Academy after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Knights really took it to Summerfield Waldorf for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-24 win. The Knights pushed the score to 61-11 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

Roseland University Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rudy Garduno, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Chamorro, who scored 13 points.

Mare Island Tech Academy kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 78-33 loss at the hands of College Prep. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Griffins have suffered since November 20, 2024.
