Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Cactus' Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Cactus won the last time they faced Coronado, and Ziara Pauli did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cobras put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Wednesday thanks in part to Pauli, who had 11 aces and ten assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.5 aces per game.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cactus was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-10.

Cactus is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Coronado, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Cactus will welcome Eastmark at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coronado, they will head out on the road to square off against Goldwater at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
