Baseball Recap: Brilliant Comes Up Short

Brilliant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Marion County Red Raiders, falling 11-1. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brilliant's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Marion County, the victory snapped their losing streak at ten games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-7 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brilliant will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vina at 4:30 p.m. on March 17th. As for Marion County, they will square off against Smithville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
