After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carl Hayden Community, North was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Metro Tech Knights with a sharp 66-45 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Metro Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Luis Gamboa, who posted 15 points, and Jacquon Banks, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. Jeremiah Lopez was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

North's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Metro Tech, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, North will venture away from home to challenge Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
