Soccer Recap: South Garner Comes Up Short

South Garner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Corinth Holders Pirates, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, South Garner can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 357th, while Corinth Holders are ranked 149th).

South Garner's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Corinth Holders, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-3 record this season.

South Garner will venture away from home to face off against Triton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Corinth Holders, they will host Fuquay - Varina at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fuquay - Varina will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Corinth Holders surely won't give up without a fight.
