Baseball Game Preview: Fruitdale Pirates vs. Leroy Bears

For the second straight game, Fruitdale will face off against Leroy. The Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fruitdale has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fruitdale is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Leroy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 15-1.

Fruitdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sid Hobbs, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Fruitdale's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Leroy, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.
