Basketball Recap: Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Memphis School of Excellence Winchester unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 17-8 to the Melrose Golden Wildcats on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

The win got Melrose back to even at 1-1.

Memphis School of Excellence Winchester will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on KIPP Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Melrose, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Raleigh-Egypt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
