Volleyball Recap: Pine Ridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pine Ridge had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 4-14 to make it four. They lost 3-0 to the Spruce Creek Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Spruce Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Spruce Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rachel Smith, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Smith has posted over her last nine matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Milan, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Ridge will welcome Seabreeze at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Spruce Creek, they will host Flagler Palm Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
